Czech Republic VACs in India: Another Centre Resumes Services

Indian citizens can now avail visa services from the Czech Republic’s Visa Application Centre (VAC) located at Ahmedabad. The centre has resumed its services, as per an official statement by VFS Global, “From May 9 2022, our Czech Republic Visa Application Centre in Ahmedabad will resume limited operations for short stay visa applications, strictly by appointment only”.

 The VAC of the Czech Republic will remain open for Indian citizens every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The timings will be from 9 am to 2 pm.

 Uncertainty regarding the spread of COVID-19 and the new variants had led to many Schengen Area and European Union (EU) VACs abroad temporarily suspending the work done by them towards preventing a surge in the number of infections.

 Nevertheless, presently, a majority of the restrictions imposed in view of the evolving COVID-19 situation have been lifted. Many VACs have started to reopen after a confirmation that the situation permits the same.

A commercial company, VFS Global works in partnership with the Embassy of the Czech Republic to provide services to individuals applying for a visa for entering the country.

 What can I do at the VFS Global Visa Application Centre?

At the Czech Republic VAC, you can -

• Submit your completed visa application form,
• Give your biometric data, and
• Provide your supporting documentation.

VFS Global also provides assistance for filling up forms for visas for the Czech Republic.

 Where are the VFS Global Czech Republic VACs located in India?

In India, you can avail visa services for the Czech Republic at any of the Visa Application Centres (VACs) located in various cities. Do note that, as of now, VACs are either temporarily closed or offering limited services on specific days.

The decision to grant a visa is the sole prerogative of the Embassy of the Czech Republic. The role of VFS Global is only for providing visa-related services towards ensuring that your visa application is duly filled in and submitted as per the requirements.
