British Columbia Invites 357 Candidates in Separate Draws

On Tuesday, the Canadian province of British Columbia held two separate rounds of invitations to invite 357 candidates to apply for provincial nomination under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

ITAs Issued

The province invited the immigration candidates under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) from the Skills Immigration (SI) and the Express Entry BC (EEBC) streams.

Under the Skills Immigration stream, it only issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for those candidates who were under the Skilled Worker, International Graduate and Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled categories. 

Under Express Entry BC, it issued ITAs to candidates under Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories.

Separate Draws

The ITAs were issued to the immigration candidates in two separate draws, the details for which are given below:

The first was a general draw, which invited 386 candidates with different provincial score requirements for each category.

The second draw only focussed on candidates who had occupations under two NOC codes - NOC 0621 for retail and wholesale trade managers and NOC 0631 for restaurant and foodservice managers

BC PNP

The BCPNP program aims to draw skilled foreign professionals whose skills are high in demand in the province and who wish to become permanent residents of Canada and settle in British Columbia.

The streams under this are managed by the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS), under which the interested must register their account to be eligible.
