Invitations sent out to Express Entry candidates with a nomination under the Provincial Nominee Program.
On October 7, 2024, there were 1,613 invitations issued through the Express Entry system, an online application system of the Canadian Government. Invitations were exclusively issued under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). To be eligible, a PNP candidate must have had a minimum score of CRS 743. This was Express Entry draw number #316, the 38th draw to be held in 2024.
The previous EE draw was held on September 19, 2024, and had 4,000 invitations issued under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
The latest draw is the first to be held in October 2024. There were 3 draws held in September 2024, with a total of 5,911 ITAs issued.
The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) of Canada offers a route to Canada PR visa for those interested in living in a particular Canadian province or territory. To be nominated by a province/territory, the person must have the clear intention of staying there.
All Canadian provinces (except Quebec) and all territories (except Nunavut) run their own PNPs. PNP pathways or streams are customized as per their specific requirements. Quebec immigration programs run independently, and Quebec is not a part of Express Entry or PNP. Nunavut has no immigration program.

The specific eligibility criteria varies from stream to stream. A PNP pathway can be targeted at skilled workers, semi-skilled workers, international students, businesspeople, etc.
There have been 9 PNP-only draws held in 2024.
A total of 12,167 invitations have been issued in Express Entry PNP draws this year.
