PEI Releases Schedule of PNP Draws in 2022

The Prince Edward Island government recently released their schedule to hold the rounds of invitations for candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program for 2022.

PEI PNP Schedule

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) is the only provincial program in Canada that releases a schedule for the draws to be held that year and the date the province will do it. 

As per the schedule released, the Island will host 12 PEI PNP draws to invite immigration candidates who may be eligible for a provincial nomination under any of its pathways.

The province had invited 1,804 candidates in 2021 to apply for a provincial nomination under its three streams.

PEI PNP Streams 

PEI has three categories for inviting candidates under, i.e. Labour Impact Stream, Business Impact Stream and Express Entry Stream. Let us discuss them briefly.

The Express Entry Category of PEI PNP is an enhanced PNP directly linked to the federal Express Entry system. To be considered under this stream, the candidates must have registered their profile in Express Entry.

The Labour Impact Category is for foreign professionals who have obtained an employment offer in the province and have the support of their employer. 

The Business Impact Stream is for foreign business persons and entrepreneurs who wish to set up and run a business in Prince Edward Island.
