Ontario PNP Invites 2,359 Tech Candidates

Canada’s Ontario province holds a targeted round of invitations for tech professionals.

On December 14, 2023, Ontario held another draw under provincial selection for Canadian permanent residence. Part of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), Ontario PNP is officially the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

The latest OINP draw was held for the Human Capital Priorities stream which is linked with the Express Entry system of Canada. A total of 2,359 invitations were issued.

Those invited in OINP December 14 draw -

• Had a profile in Canada Express Entry,
• Met the eligibility requirements of the HCP stream,
• Had a ranking score in Express Entry pool of CRS 473-480,
• Had their occupation among any of the 15 targeted tech occupations, and
• Created their IRCC Express Entry profile within the last 1 year.

15 tech occupations were targeted in the latest Ontario PNP draw.

Am I eligible for Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream?

To be eligible for the OINP HCP pathway, you must have -

• An Express Entry profile,
• At least 1 year of continuous full-time work experience in last 5 years in same primary occupation as in Express Entry profile,
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree with an ECA Report,
• Ability in English or French at a CLB Level 7 or above,
• Sufficient funds to support yourself and family members in Canada, and
• Intention to settle in Ontario.
