Canada’s Ontario province issues invitations to apply to international masters graduates for nomination under the PNP.

On August 30, 2023, Ontario issued invitations to apply under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Ontario PNP is known as the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

What are the eligibility requirements for Ontario Masters Graduate program?

You must meet all eligibility requirements to be nominated by Ontario under Canadian PNP.

To be eligible for an OINP nomination under the Masters Graduate stream, you must have -

  1. Received an ITA from the OINP
  2. The ability to prove that you have all qualifications claimed by you in ITA
  3. Minimum 1 academic year of full-time study for a master’s degree from an eligible Ontario university
  4. English proficiency of at least CLB 7 (in IELTS General Training, equivalent to 6.0 in speaking, listening, reading, writing)
  5. Legally lived in Ontario for a minimum of 1 years within the 2 years before applying
  6. Sufficient settlement funds to support yourself and dependents. Can be shown through any or combination of - available funds in bank, mutual funds etc.; yearly income from ongoing employment in Ontario; and a job offer in Ontario.
  7. Clear intention to settle in Ontario as a permanent resident

What is an OINP EOI score?

After registering your expression of interest (EOI) profile with Ontario PNP, you are assigned a score based on factors like -

  • Work permit or Canada study permit status
  • Earnings in Canada based on Notice of Assessment (NOA)
  • Highest level of education
  • Field of study. Canadian credential required.
  • Canadian education experience
  • Language ability
  • Regionalization, location of study in Ontario

The minimum score requirement varies from draw to draw.
