Express Entry is the main pathway to Canada. It is a system that manages skilled worker applicants. It is also possible to directly apply to Express Entry and gain an invitation for permanent residency in Canada.
These invitations are issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Candidates entering the Express Entry pool can also apply for provincial nomination.
You will have to meet one of the three Express Entry programs' requirements if you would like to enter the Express Entry pool. All applicants are then ranked on a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on age, education, work experience, and English or French proficiency.
The highest-scoring candidates receive ITAs for permanent residence through Express Entry draws held every two weeks.
Express Entry candidates receiving provincial nominations gain additional 600 CRS points into their Express Entry profile. It virtually guarantees them to receive an invitation from IRCC for permanent residence in Canada.
Candidates wanting to receive a provincial nomination from Manitoba will have to register an Expression of Interest with the MPNP. They can then hope to receive an LLA through the MPNP’s Skilled Workers Overseas and the Skilled Workers in Manitoba streams.
Both these streams are designed to identify candidates who meet the labour market needs of Manitoba province.
MPNP candidates are ranked out of 1,000 EOI points for their human capital factors and their connections to the province.
Under this category, candidates are required to have a full-time job offer from a potential employer within the Manitoba province.
These candidates are required to demonstrate connections to Manitoba province. It can be close family members, previous work experience in the province, or an invitation through Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives.
These candidates are international graduates who have completed education from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in Manitoba.
If they demonstrate having in-demand skills, they can receive an LAA under the International Education Stream.
