Key Highlights:
Manitoba recently held a draw under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), inviting a total of 428 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination.
The 428 candidates who were issued the Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) belonged to either of these three programs and had to have an Expression of Interest (EOI) score based on that program:
Among the immigration candidates under these programs, 68 of them had registered their profile with the federal Express Entry system.
The Manitoban province manages the immigration programs through the Manitoba Immigrant Nominee Program (MPNP), which supports the immigration candidates’ application for permanent residency in the country.
The candidate had to register an Expression of Interest to the province with MPNP to benefit from the nomination. They then get ranked out of 100 points and are placed in the pool of candidates for the round of invitations.
The candidates under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas categories are skilled professionals who meet the demands of the province’s labour market.
The International Graduate category is for international students who have completed their higher education in Manitoba and who can show that they have the skills needed by the province.
