Key Highlights
On Friday, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued 299 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) for provincial nomination.
This is the province’s fifth draw so far in 2021, bringing the total number of candidates invited to 1,292.
In this draw, here are the number of LAAs issued and the minimum score required under each immigration stream:
Out of the 299 LAAs, 35 were issued to candidates who had an Express Entry profile.
Express Entry System is an immigration regulatory system that assists Canada in managing applications for skilled professionals.
Applicants can either directly apply for a Canadian PR through Express Entry System or enter the Express Entry pool and receive a nomination from one of Canada’s 13 provinces.
To be eligible for Express Entry, the candidate must meet the basic eligibility criteria as per one of the three Express Entry programs.
The candidate is then ranked based on a CRS score. Candidates with the highest CRS score receive an invitation to apply (ITA).
To receive a nomination from Manitoba, the candidate must register an Expression of Interest (EOI) with MPNP.
The candidate must demonstrate a connection to Manitoba by either family ties, work experience or getting invited through the Strategic Recruitment Initiatives (SRI).
To be invited under the Skilled Worker Program, the candidate must also have a full-time job offer from a Manitoba employer.
Graduates from other countries who have graduated from the province may receive an invitation if they prove that they have the skills in-demand in the labour market.
