Canada holds the 4th Express Entry draw in October 2024 so far.

On October 21, 2024, another round of invitations was held under the Express Entry system. 648 invitations were issued in a program-specific draw exclusively for those nominated under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). To be eligible, a PNP nominee must have had a minimum score of CRS 791.

This is the 319th Express Entry draw since the program's launch in 2015. The previous Express Entry draw was on October 10, 2024, a category-based selection for those with French-language proficiency.

To have received an invitation, a candidate must -

  • Have an Express Entry profile in the IRCC Online Portal,
  • Be issued a Nomination Certificate by a PNP, and
  • Be ranked with a score of CRS 791 or above.

Regular draws are held using a streamlined application process.

What is the PNP eligibility?

Each of the PNPs has its specific eligibility criteria. There are around 80 different PNP routes. Getting Canadian permanent residency through PNP is a 2-step process -

  1. A nomination by a province/territory, and
  2. Using that Nomination Certificate to apply to IRCC for Canada PR.

The first PNP-only draw of 2024 was held on May 30, 2024. A total of 10 PNP draws have been held this year.
