UAE’s Golden Visa which previously allowed migrants to work for only a few years is now being extended to 10 years. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President of UAE announced this on 15th November 2020 to help migrants seek jobs in countries like Dubai, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
This visa gives preference to highly skilled workers of various nationalities. Especially to Doctors of Medicine, Doctors of philosophy and Engineers. UAE also has a demand for specialists in Artificial Intelligence in the region.
Individuals with a GPA of 3.8 or higher in their high-school academics can easily avail this visa and seek a job in the UAE.
The pandemic caused a significant downfall in the economy of the UAE. However, with the newest golden visa extension and more job opportunities, things may move towards betterment.
