Express Entry: FSWP Included in 1,500 Invited

Published on : July 7, 2022

Canada invites skilled immigrants from overseas for the first time in more than two years. Candidates from all Express Entry programs were eligible for the latest round of IRCC invitations.

July 6, 2022 saw the resumption of all-program Express Entry draws, as announced earlier. The last all-program Express Entry draw was held on December 23, 2020.

In view of the pandemic-related international travel restrictions as well as service limitations and disruptions the world over, the focus had shifted to candidates that might already be within Canada. Candidates, that is, with a provincial nomination or with previous and recent Canadian experience.

Express Entry is used by the government of Canada for accepting, prioritizing, and processing Canadian permanent residence applications for eligible skilled workers. The Express Entry system comes under the federal department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
