Key Highlights:
Canada in a recent draw has invited close to 4,147 Express Entry candidates for applying to Permanent Residency. However, it was another lowest score draw for the Express Entry invitation module.
Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) have invited candidates who have a score of at least 401. This is nothing but only one point more than the earlier comparable draw.
Applicants also need to be eligible for the Canadian Experience Class(CEC), that is, at least 1 year of working experience in Canada. This will be followed by having intermediate language proficiency in French or English.
As per the administrative requirements, IRCC tends to publish the cut-off time for the tie break rule to follow. Candidates having at least a score of 401 are invited through their Express Entry profile before April 29, 2021, at 11:48:14 UTC.
Close to 66,475 candidates were invited so far in 2021. This number has exceeded the previous year's rate. That could be owing to IRCC holding larger draws on February 13, where each of the CEC candidates was invited.
With an effort of admitting 401,000 new permanent residents in 2021 following travel restrictions, IRCC will target applicants who want to settle in Canada. CEC requires lower scores as such applicants are not competing with any of the other candidates for invitations.
Both the CEC along PNP(Provincial Nominee Program) have a higher number of candidates in Canada. Such scores vary in terms of PNP and CEC draws. CEC requires low scores for getting an invitation for PR permanent residency.
