Express Entry: 7,500 Invited to Apply for Canada PR Visa

The latest category-based selection round targets those with French language proficiency.

On March 21, 2025, the Canadian government held another round of invitations under the Express Entry system. Another 7,500 invitations to apply (ITAs) were issued. Those invited can now submit their complete applications to secure Canadian permanent residency through Express Entry.

Being a category-based selection, the ITAs went out specifically for those Express Entry candidates that had proficiency in French. The minimum ranking score required, as per the Comprehensive Ranking System, was that of CRS 379.

Those invited had to be eligible for the French-language proficiency category of Express Entry. They also had to be ranked among the top 7,500 for that category, with a minimum score of CRS 379. If multiple EE profiles had the minimum required, priority was to be decided based on the tie-breaking rule applied. The tie break, in the latest Express Entry draw number 341 was that of March 06, 2025 at 02:53:27 UTC.

The required CRS score is the lowest cut-off for any round of invitations held under the Express Entry system since February 29, 2024.

The latest IRCC draw is the third Express Entry round of invitations for French language proficiency to be held in 2025 so far. Previously, French language proficiency candidates got ITAs on March 6, 2025, and February 19, 2025.

Additionally, the latest Express Entry draw is the fourth draw in March 2025, and the second to be held this week.

Express Entry system is an online portal of the Canadian government, managed by the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship India (IRCC). It is used to accept, prioritize and process Canadian permanent residence applications for specific Canadian immigration pathways.
