The third Express Entry draw of the week was exclusively for healthcare professionals.
On July 5, 2024, another round of invitations was held under the Express Entry system. A total of 3,750 invitations were issued. Healthcare professionals were specifically invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence. The minimum score cut-off was that of CRS 445 per the Comprehensive Ranking System.
Express Entry is an application management system. Three of the main Canadian immigration programs are managed through Express Entry. Those invited are given 60 days to submit their Canada PR visa application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
The Canadian government introduced category-based selection in Express Entry draws. Each of the selected 6 categories focuses on specific types of immigrants. The categories have been selected as they meet an existing economic goal of the federal government of Canada.
