Canada Express Entry: Another PNP-Specific Draw Held, 589 ITAs

Published on : May 26, 2022

Another Express Entry draw targeting those with a nomination by a provincial or territorial government. FSWP and CEC draws to resume in July 2022.

On May 25, 2022, the federal government of Canada held another round of invitations under Express Entry, an online application management system used for accepting and processing applications for Canadian permanent residence from skilled workers.

The ranking of the Express Entry candidates - based on their score as per the 1,200-point Comprehensive Ranking System - determines who receives an invitation to apply. A nomination under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is worth CRS 600 points in itself. Hence, PNP-specific Express Entry draws tend to have a CRS requirement on the higher side.

An Express Entry profile can be created if you score 67 points on the Canadian immigration eligibility calculator. Six factors are assessed, with points allotted to each factor.
