British Columbia Invites 370+ to Apply for PNP Nomination

Canada’s British Columbia province holds its first round of invitations in 2024.

On January 10, 2024, British Columbia issued around 377 invitations to candidates. Those invited can submit their application to secure a nomination by the province. British Columbia is a part of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The province can nominate candidates to the Canadian Government for their Canada PR visa grant.

The provincial program run by British Columbia is officially the BC PNP (British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program). Those willing to settle in British Columbia as permanent residents can apply through the BC PNP.

The latest BC PNP round of invitations had 5 separate draws. Candidates that met the criteria and had their profiles in the Express Entry system were considered under EEBC (Express Entry British Columbia).

What is the skilled worker stream of BC PNP?

British Columbia’s Skilled Worker stream is for experienced workers in a skilled occupation. They must have the intention to permanently settle in the province. A minimum 2 years’ work experience in any skilled occupation (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) will be needed. The work experience can be acquired in Canada or abroad and must have been within the last 10 years.
