BC PNP Tech

The BC PNP Tech was set up in May 2007 as a pilot project after a study on British Columbia’s labour market concluded that the most significant hurdle that the BC’s technology sector faces is its access to skilled talent.

After noticing the success of the project, BC made it a permanent program. It is programmed to help employers in the technology industry attract and select foreign professionals.

It is mainly a fast-track immigration stream for tech workers and international students who have the necessary skills in demand in the province’s tech labour market.

Unlike the other immigration pathways, though, employment offers under the BC PNP Tech must be for at least 12 months, with a minimum of 120 days remaining at the time you apply for it.
