Canadian immigration hopefuls with Express Entry profiles and a provincial nomination asked to apply for PR visa.
The first Express Entry system round of invitations in July 2024 has been held. On July 2, 2024, there were 920 invitations issued in Express Entry draw number #299. Those selected had been nominated by a Canadian provincial or territorial government under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The minimum required score was CRS 739.
A PNP nomination gets 600 points on the Comprehensive Ranking System which gives the CRS score to an Express Entry candidate.

Canadian PNP is an immigration pathway to move to Canada with your family. The PNP follows a 2-step process -
To immigrate to Canada through the PNP, you will have to go through a provincial/territorial government as well as the federal government of Canada. Except Quebec and Nunavut, all Canadian provinces and territories run their own PNPs.
Certain PNP streams are linked with the Express Entry system. Others run independently.
You will have to secure a nomination under the PNP before you can apply for permanent residence. Nomination applications are handled by the provincial/territorial governments. Following a nomination, a PR application must be submitted to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

In 2024, around 22.68% of overall planned permanent resident admissions will be through PNP. As per the 2024-2026 Immigration Levels Plan, Canada will grant 485,000 Canada PR visas in 2024. Of these, 110,000 will be granted permanent residence through PNP.
The PNP admissions target for 2025-26 stands at 120,000 per year. Canada plans to issue 5,00,000 PR visas in 2025 and 2026.
